The Guernsey Bicycle Group (GBG) supports National Bike Week.

This week promotes the joy and many benefits of bicycling.

Bicycling is fun, keeps you fit, and saves money as a form of transportation during everyday life – lots of money.

For many people up to 20 percent of their income can be spent owning and running a car.

Last year almost 500,000 people in the UK participated in National Bike Week.  The event hopes to encourage people to rethink their everyday journeys and switch to cycling as the most convenient way to get around.

The National Bike Week aims to inspire people to try out cycling if they have not done so already – for fun, and as a means of getting around to the local shops, to school, to the library or just to visit friends.
